Hi!

I am using (setting up) autofs in conjunction with nis.
I have defined a netgroup called nis main through which I would like to
administer nis logins and home directory creation.
I would, therefore, like the fileservers to export their filesystems to
the nis servers without root squash.
I would like to specify the set of nis servers via netgroups.
But that does not seem to be working.
Please help!

[root@nis-slave-3 backup]# cat /etc/exports
/backup @nismain(rw,no_root_squash) *.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in(rw,root_squash)
[root@nis-slave-3 backup]# ypcat -k netgroup
nismain (dns.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in,,) (nis-slave-1.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in,,) (nis-$
[root@nis-slave-3 backup]# host dns
dns.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in has address 10.5.18.64

[root@nis-slave-3 backup]# host cs-ws-64
cs-ws-64.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in has address 10.5.18.64

[root@nis-slave-3 backup]# cat /var/lib/nfs/xtab
/backup cs-ws-64.cse.iitkgp.ernet.in(rw,async,wdelay,hide,secure,root_squash,no$

*** Exporting fails completely when I modify /etc/exports to:
/backup @nismain(rw,no_root_squash)
