I tried shellcode5.c and shellcode6.c on my 2.4.4 box, they don't work
here. Why?

Great tutorial, thx for translating to dutch.
Every examples worked fine for me until.........
When i do "gcc -o shellcode4 shellcode4.c" the following warning and error
sow up:
/tmp/ccmTgL5H.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/ccmTgL5H.s:23: Warning: using `%al' instead of `%eax' due to `b' suffix
/tmp/ccmTgL5H.s:44: Error: invalid character '_' in mnemonic
What does this mean, and how can i fix this ?
Thanx in advange,

David from Holland

2 David:

Line 23: It means that instruction "movb" want 8bit source register, but %eax is not.
Line 44: This line wrong. Try to write "call subroutine" instead of "subroutine_call"
