It's a great article, good work! I am planning to build something out of your series of articles. Maybe a thermometer to measure body temperature. Any suggestions on it!

I can join only the previous opinion: magnificent article. I look already forward to further applications.

Great article! Very interesting

Great articles on electronics, I have read all the ones you have produced with great interest. Could I suggest some possible circuit ideas.

single board computor using 486 chips, these could be used for all sorts of applications, one possible one is a weather station, but this would need additional circuits. i.e a wirles link back to a main home computor.

This would be a great internet project where people from around the world could monitor local weather conditions and feed back to a central source.

The article is excellent, but I'm not a programmer, I'm a hardware technician, how can I load the programs to the microcontroller.
Thanks for your help

That's a great work, totally a salvation in my new proyect, because a i have one idea about that kind of robots.
Linux is a O.S. new for me, and in my contry(Mexico), that one don't have a lot of people behind. In my class of O.S. 1 i see that way of use a computer, and from then, i try to know more about that old and powerfull O.S.

Thanks for that great article and all documents too.

Well done decription of a basic robot. Some friends and I have dabbled in robots and it's interesting to see what we've done the same, and where we've adopted different approaches. Huge learning opportunity as well. FYI, here's info on a robot talk we did at our ham radio club: .

Katja and Guido Socher

The project ‘Building an Autonomous Light Finder Robot’ was exhaustive and motivating for everyone from kids to the amateurs. The photos and detailed step by step stages of building this project are comprehensive.

My compliments to both of you for the in-depth information provided for this project.

I was lucky to see this project from Google search engine.

I am from India and my hobby is electronics. My first project was the radios using valves some 40 years ago, and afterwards assembled transistors, using only transistors, when ICs were not available in India. Later on, assembled the black and white TV using valves when ICs were in the stage of development abroad.

I am planning to build this project for my granddaughter. This project would be right choice as a gift to her.

However, this project requires knowledge of software development, which I am lacking.

I am compiling the doubts to be cleared and will be sending for clarifications.

Will be getting back to you soon

With Best Wishes
